KLIA to Genting Highlands Private Transfer

Straight from the arrival door to the hill

Genting Highlands is the most common first stop for families landing at KLIA, and also the most awkward to reach by public transport. The bus route means a train to KL Sentral, a coach to the Awana bus terminal, then the cable car or a shuttle up to the resort, with luggage at every change. A private transfer takes the ELITE expressway, skirts the city on the MRR2, climbs the Karak Highway and pulls up at your hotel porch about two hours after you leave the terminal.

Where your driver meets you

At KLIA1, come down to Level 1 and walk to Door 6. At KLIA2, the meeting point is Level 2, Door 3, or Level 2, Door 4 if you booked the breakfast-stop option (pay your own). Your driver holds a name board with the booking name. We track the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pickup automatically, with no extra charge for reasonable waiting.

Driver name and WhatsApp number arrive the evening before. If you cannot find the board within a few minutes, send a message and the driver comes to you.

Which option should you book?

• Private (choose vehicle) is the direct transfer. Pick a sedan or MPV for up to four people at the same price, a Toyota Hiace for five to seven, a CAM Placer van for up to twelve, or an Alphard or Vellfire for captain seats on the climb.
• Breakfast stop, pay your own adds a stop at a restaurant on the way for a morning landing. The transfer price includes the detour and waiting time; you pay for the meal.
• Changing room and breakfast included is built for overnight flights. The driver stops at a rest facility where you can shower, change into warmer clothes, and eat breakfast included in the price, then continues to Genting. Most hotels on the hill check in at 3 pm, so this turns a dead morning into a comfortable one.

Genting is cool, usually 15 to 22 °C, and often misty. Keep a light jacket accessible. Sedans take two large suitcases; if four of you have four suitcases, choose the MPV.

Which hotel, and where you are dropped

Every hotel on the hill is covered: Genting Grand, Highlands Hotel, Crockfords, Resort Hotel, First World Hotel, Maxims, and the Genting Skyworlds area, plus Awana at mid-hill. Enter the hotel name at checkout. The driver drops you at the hotel’s porch, not at the bus terminal or SkyAvenue car park, which matters when it is raining and you have a pushchair.

Genting Highlands back to KLIA

Book the Genting hotel to KLIA option with your hotel and flight time. For an international departure we recommend a lobby pickup five hours before the flight: two hours down and across to KLIA, a buffer for weekend traffic on the Karak, and time to check in.
