KLIA to the tea country in one car

There is no direct public transport from KLIA to the Cameron Highlands. The bus option means a train or coach into Kuala Lumpur, a change at the TBS terminal, and a four-hour coach up the mountain, then a taxi to your hotel. A private car from the arrival door does the whole thing in about four hours with your luggage in the boot.

The driver takes the PLUS expressway north past Tapah to Simpang Pulai, just south of Ipoh, then the Simpang Pulai road up through Kampung Raja and Kea Farm to Brinchang and Tanah Rata. That road is newer and gentler than the old Tapah route, which is why we use it by default. If your hotel is in Ringlet at the southern end, the Tapah road is shorter and the driver will suggest it.

Where your driver meets you

At KLIA1, come down to Level 1 and walk to Door 6. At KLIA2, the meeting point is Level 2, Door 3. Your driver holds a name board with your name. We track the flight, so a late landing moves the pickup, and the driver’s details reach you the evening before.

Cameron Highlands back to KLIA

The same fixed price applies in reverse. For an international departure, leave your hotel six hours before the flight: four hours on the road, a rest stop, and a buffer for weekend traffic on the PLUS.
