Kuala Lumpur to Genting without the bus and cable car

The public route to Genting from the city is a bus from KL Sentral to the Awana terminal and then the Awana SkyWay cable car up to the resort, with luggage on every leg. It is cheap and fine for a day trip with a backpack.
